Cookie Policy
The cookies and similar technologies MedGrid sets, what each is for, and how to control them.
Draft — not yet cleared for use. This wording was written for MedGrid but has not been reviewed by counsel or the medical director. Do not use it to obtain patient consent until it has been signed off. The page is noindex meanwhile.
Effective Date: September 30, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies MedGrid, LLC ("MedGrid," "we," "us," or "our") uses on this website, what each one is for, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle personal information more broadly.
1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can recognize your browser later. Cookies can be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them. We also use similar technologies, such as local storage, that work in comparable ways; references to "cookies" in this policy include those.
2. Cookies We Use
We group the cookies on this site into three categories:
- Strictly necessary: required for the site to function. These are our own cookies — mg_session and mg_client_session — which keep you signed in to the staff proposal tool or the client portal. Each is HttpOnly and Secure, sent only over encrypted connections, and expires after 12 hours. They cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in for the features that use them, and we do not use them to track you across other sites.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, which helps us understand how visitors use the site — which pages get read, how people arrive, and where they drop off — so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (typically named things like _ga and _ga_*) and processes the resulting data under Google's own privacy terms.
- Functional (forms): on pages that include a consult or contact form, we load HubSpot's form-embed script, which sets a cookie (hubspotutk) to associate a form submission with your visit so a request you submit reaches us correctly and isn't treated as spam.
We do not currently use advertising or retargeting cookies on this site.
3. Third-Party Cookies
The analytics and forms cookies described above are set by Google and HubSpot respectively, not by us directly, and are governed by those companies' own privacy and cookie practices in addition to this policy. We do not control the specific cookies these third parties set or how long they persist, and we encourage you to review their published cookie information if you want more detail.
4. How to Control Cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and you can typically view and remove individual cookies already stored on your device. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in from working for the staff and client portal features that depend on them; blocking analytics or forms cookies will not affect your ability to browse the site or read its content.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics specifically using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available from Google. Where applicable state law requires us to honor a recognized opt-out preference signal (such as Global Privacy Control), we do so as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the cookies and technologies we use change. We will post the updated policy with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the site after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
